Pastor Virginia Brown comes from a long line of ministers beginning with her Great Grandfather’s the late Bishop Alfred Williams, and Bishop Henry Wilson. At an early age she began singing and serving the Lord and it has been a continuous part of her life. In 1995 she was licensed and ordained a minister under the guidance of the late Apostle (Lt. Col.) David Kithcart of Akron, Ohio, and her pastor, Dr. Martha Starks. After over 22 years in ministry in April of 2018 she was ordained an Elder. In April, 2023 with the retirement of Dr. Martha Starks, Elder Brown was installed as the Pastor.

Pastor Brown is a Biblical Studies graduate from the Institute of Biblical Studies in Virginia, and an Accounting graduate of Salisbury Business College. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina with a Bachelors of Arts in Religion and Philosophy, and also a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. In Public Administration she was recognized as the Most Outstanding Student in her graduating class.

She served as an Associate Minister at the Word of Life Family Worship Center from the time of being licensed and ordained, until installed as Pastor. She is anointed to sing and served as the director of the Praise & Worship Team, and also a Children’s Ministry Teacher. She and her husband of 44 years, Deacon John Brown served as directors of the Single’s Anointed for Excellence Ministry, and the Youth for Christ Teen Ministry.

They have two daughters, three grandchildren and their godson who was reared in the home.
